Requirements and challenges
Push the button to roll the dices, add the numbers from both dices, then close the boxes based on the sum of the dices' numbers.
This is a classic approach to the fun, tactical dice game “Shut The Box - MultiPlayer” that has been enjoyed by young and old for centuries. Players aim to earn the lowest score possible by rolling the dice and covering the rolled numbers, 1-10.
This perennially popular game is a fantastic way to support maths, too! Shut the Box - MultiPlayer is a traditional board game that involves two dice and a wooden board with hinges that allow the numbers 1 through 10 to be flipped down individually.
How To Play:
- The dice show Roll Dice at the beginning of the game.
- Push the button to roll the dice and add the dots that are facing up on the dice.
- Touch the number markers to flip them down in accordance with any combination of dice totals that you choose.
- For example, if you roll a 4 and a 5 on your first roll you would have a total of 9(the player must use both dice) and may therefore flip down the number markers for:
- Combination of 4 and 5
- Combination of 3, 4 and 2
- Combination of 8 and 1
- Combination of 2 and 7
- Combination of 6 and 3
- Only 9
- The player with the lowest score wins the round.
- Each person in the game takes a turn once during a round. When a player can no longer throw more dice, they have finished their turn.
